Ridge Conway was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee, a backwoods town where legends are whispered over cheap whiskey and nobody asks too many questions. When Ridge was just 10 years old, his family packed up and moved to Bandera, Texas—the self-proclaimed "Cowboy Capital of the World." It was there that Ridge found his second home and his first taste of trouble.
By his early teens, Ridge was already a local legend for all the wrong reasons. Underage drinking, stealing cars, and getting into bar fights were just part of his regular routine. He had a natural charm that made it hard for folks to stay mad at him too long, but that didn’t stop the cops from knowing his name by heart.
Ridge grew up idolizing Elvis Presley. His room was plastered with old posters of The King in leather, and he'd often get into fistfights at school defending Elvis against Beatles fans. But his true musical role model was Johnny Paycheck. Ridge loved Paycheck's raw outlaw energy and often credited him with teaching him how to "raise hell with rhythm."
One of Ridge's most notorious stunts happened in 2021, when he was arrested for breaking into Elvis Presley's old Sun Studio in Memphis. He slipped past security late one night, set up a bootleg recording session, and recorded his outlaw anthem "The Hound Dog Howls at Dawn." He was found by police passed out on the studio floor with a guitar in his hands and a half-empty bottle of bourbon by his side. When asked why he did it, Ridge simply said, "Elvis recorded there. I needed to feel that ghost in the room."
Ridge Conway's life has been a series of wild rides and reckless decisions. He’s rubbed shoulders with some of country music’s biggest names, including:
He's been banned from more venues than most artists have played. From back alley bar gigs to outlaw festivals in the middle of the desert, Ridge Conway is a force of nature. He's known for jumping off stage mid-set to brawl with hecklers, only to climb back up and finish the song.
Ridge doesn’t care about mainstream success. He’s chasing ghosts, burning bridges, and making damn sure his name is remembered in outlaw country history.
His debut album "CONWAY CLASSICS" is coming soon. Get ready for whiskey-fueled anthems, outlaw ballads, and the sound of a man who’s lived every line he sings.
